Phone apps for PR pros that will make your job more efficient and save you time.
I’m a big fan of apps that allow me to make the most of my time, especially at work. Here are some phone apps for PR professionals:
Both apps help you organize current news stories based off categories you set. I use both these apps to find relevant content to share. You can also categorize and save content based on subject.
Social Media Management apps
Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, Facebook Pages Manager – Seems pretty obvious but couldn’t not include these apps. They allow you to schedule posts in advance for multiple types of social media, which saves you from always having to post in the moment. If you are a busy brand, scheduling posts is a key part of the social media strategy.
Pocket is perfect for the times when you don’t have time to read the entire article. Pocket downloads the article so you can access it without internet connection. Perfect for those who have long commutes and want to make the most of their travel time.
Have access to all your files on the go. Dropbox can be accessed on multiple devices, so once it’s saved to Dropbox you can access it on your phone, tablet or another computer.
This app saves you time by creating triggers for social media platforms. For example, every time I add a photo to Instagram, IFTTT posts that photo to my Twitter and Tumblr account.
Connect your Twitter account to this app, and it will send you notifications about what content or link is being shared most by the people you follow. This is nice to have because you can keep track of what is trending in your Twitter community.
